MPEG Streamclip is also compatible with most MPEG-2 devices that use program or transport stream files, including FireWire MPEG-2 devices like Sony IP7/MicroMV, Sony HDR-FX1 (www.sony.com) and JVC GR-HD1 camcorders; DVHS recorders; FireWire/Ethernet/USB set-top boxes or digital video recorders, like EyeTV (www.elgato.com), ReplayTV, the Samsung. The actual developer of this free Mac application is Sony Electronics Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. From the developer: Content Transfer for Mac software provides an easy way to transfer music, video, photos, podcasts and playlist form iTunes to the Walkman player. MPEG transport stream, also known as TS, is a file format that can hold audio, video, and PSIP data. You've obtained a TS video file and stored on hard drive on Mac, and then realize that it's some odd file that won't work with your PC and Mac system.

I have a 2016 15' MB Pro with Touch Bar. I normally use two external extended displays when working and was looking at solutions for that since neither I or my work are going to buy two new monitors. Since I also need a few other legacy ports I was looking into docks. There are very few TB3 docks currently available, but there are quite a few USB-C docks that work for these machines available now for cheaper than the upcoming TB3 versions.
Stream transport free download - Net Transport, DVDCutter Stream and Mp3CDWav Converter Pro, CoCSoft Stream Down, and many more programs. Recent versions of DisplayPort include the ability to split to multiple displays from one DisplayPort connection using Multi-Stream Transport (MST). Although you will be able to connect the MST hub to the Mini DisplayPort (mDP) connection on your Mac, Mac OSX does not support MST for NVIDIA and Intel Graphics Processor Units (GPUs).
The one drawback is that Mac can only show one unique external display over USB-C, the second is a mirror of the first external. This is obviously much less useful and seems to be a limitation with Mac, as those same docks can show two extended displays on Windows and Chrome OS while also pushing the rest of the ports.
According to CalDigit's page for their USB-C dock, 'For Mac customers looking to use dual monitors with an extended desktop this is not currently possible, as MST (Multi Stream Transport) is not supported within the Mac OS.'
Is it possible/planned to update to support this? I would like to go ahead and buy one so I can start using my USB peripherals and external monitors, but if this is never going to be added I guess I'll make due and pay more for a TB3 version when they become available.

Thanks!

TSReader is a very popular MPEG-2 transport stream analyzer. Used by thousands of people around the world, it allows inspection and recording of data carried in these television streams used for satellite, cable, off-air and IPTV streaming such as UDP, RTP, HLS and MPEG-DASH.It supports ATSC, Digicipher II, DVB, ISDB, and SCTE extensions to the base MPEG-2 specification. TSReader gives the user the 'big picture' overview of what's being carried inside MPEG-2 transport streams and can be very useful for finding errors or inefficiencies.
TSReader is available in three different editions. TSReader Lite is free for home users that want to investigate how digital television works. TSReader Standard adds many more features and may be used in commercial environments. TSReader Professional contains all features and is perfect for those dealing with MPEG-2 transport streams on a daily basis. The table below shows the differences between the editions.
TSReader runs on all modern versions of 32 and 64-bit Windows up-to and including Windows 10 and has a very light CPU load. Processing a 40 Mbps stream received over Ethernet will typically load a CoreDuo 2 2.4 GHz dual-core processor to about 3-5%. Multiple instances of TSReader can be used to monitor more than one stream with the Professional edition.
TSReader also works very well on Linux and MacOS with Wine and we document how to install it on both MacOS and Ubuntu here.
